Cool fall weather and football call for a big pot of chili! This is a very traditional recipe and you can make it with or without beans; that's your call. One of the first things you'll notice about this recipe is the amount of chili powder. Don't be alarmed! Chili powder is the base of chili. If you're nervous, start with less, but I'm betting you'll be adding more looking for that smoky deep flavor! And wait till you taste these amazing cornbread muffins! Our family loves them! So much in fact, that my daughter has been known to eat them for breakfast.

I think the water might be a misprint? I made it with just the beer and it turned out perfectly. Very good!

We don’t have beer, how much water should I use?
