These little crab cake bites are so yummy! They make a great appetizer to bring to a dinner party. They come together in a flash, cook quickly, and look beautiful plated!

Sesame Crab Cakes with Spicy Aioli

SERVINGS : 4 PEOPLE COOK TIME : MINUTES PREP TIME : MINUTES

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces lump crabmeat
  • 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 green onion, sliced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Aioli
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons Sriracha

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place oven rack to lowest position and preheat to 450.
  2. Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet with olive oil.
  3. In a bowl combine, crab, panko, green onions, egg, lemon juice, and mayonnaise.
  4. Scoop 1T portions on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Press slightly to flatten and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake for 4 minutes, flip, and bake another 4 minutes.
  7. Combine remaining ingredients to make aioli.

NOTES

GLUTEN MODIFICATIONS:  Use crushed rice or corn chex instead of panko.
